Reflection on educational technology

Google drive is one of the many google apps where you can upload file and documents to without getting worried that it maybe be modified or deleted. As a teacher what like most is that when sharing documents  with others you can control their access to it, where I can decide if I want them to only view it or edit or comment. This is a great way for teachers to share exams for example to other teachers or the coordinator to edit or comment, it will save a lot of time. I like using google drive since it facilitate our job greatly.    

Posters are one of the most organized way to express information. It can be a summary of a study, literature review and a case study. In course educ560 we learned how to  design a professional poster and we designed one, it's divided into different parts to identify ideas clearly with charts and figures to improve them. I think designing a clear poster is an important part of presenting topics it make things more organized and able to be discussed clearly.  

Webinar, an amazing experience that I like to repeat another more time. It's an online seminar where I chose the webinar with the title that I found it interesting and attended. As the authors were explaining the topic, we were able to ask questions directly and receive answers and comment. Webinar make exploring information more easy and applicable, where you attend, interact just like a live seminar while sitting on your home. The webinar I attend was about disrupting poverty: five classroom practices, it's related to education and I learn how to deal with students who came from a poor culture. Attending webinar will increase our knowledge specially that it include videos and interaction between authors and audience, this is a great experience and I encourage every body to attend a webinar. 

In course educ560, we made our webquest. Each two chose a topic from their domain and  designed a webquest. I think webquest is very important for it make searching for articles easy for students as well as it will make every thing clear for them. On a webquest we divide the project into four parts: Introduction; here we put a small paragraph about the topic we want students to search about, Task; what you want students to do (power point, report...),  procedure, here we put links and tell students how to use them and for which purpose, and conclusion;  it maybe the student's reflection toward webquest.  It's very useful, easy, beneficial and time saving for students know where they are and what they should do so they'll put there all energy and time in interpreting  the articles and discussing them instead of spending more time in finding articles. 

Google Forms another google life facilitator app, we can use it to perform an online exam or a quiz. What is different about these Forms is that we are able grade every question and put the right answers so automatically we can get the grade. Also, we can share to other teachers for example to edit or comment, and more than this we can have an online chat to discuss the exam directly so it's saves a lot of time discussing then reprinting ... Online exams using google Forms improve learning since we exert less time and energy in designing exams and correcting them and it should be included in every school and university.  

Blog, one of the best things I like in course educ560, It was a great experience to learn how to work on a blog and make our own one. Blog just like a different type of social media apps where every one can express his own experiences, interests where other bloggers with the same interest can see it, comment on it and learn a new thing in a way or another. It good to have our own page to write something beneficial or reflect on it. In course educ560, we wrote 10 post and 4 pages on our own blog which concerned on learning and education. Writing posts and pages about education some of them I knew others were reflections improved my knowledge and increased my awareness to every new information. Also, we were supposed to check other classmates blog and comment on them, in this way we were able to explore new information, points of view, studies and other's experience. 

Padlet is like an empty page, you as a teacher chose a topic and students will write their opinions that will appear as bars on this page. It's not stopped here, at the bottom of  each bar you chose to allow students either rate each other, comment or put a like. This will let students learn to assess each other and explore other's opinions and points of view. Also, Padlet helps students to enforce their thinking process and think about their decision about a situation or a topic. Padlet is a unique way to ask students and stimulate them so I think it's important to be incorporated in a classroom.

Activinspire a new way of displaying information, it allows the incorporation of technology to the classroom and give it's access to students. Activinpire is a flip chart where the teacher designed and prepared to let the lesson more interesting and engage a big number of students. In activinspire, teacher has a variety of ways or tricks to explain a concept or a type of knowledge and perform various activities. I found it interesting as it increases student's engagement and improves their academic learning and for me it's a wonderful experience to learn such type of technology where I'll use in classroom.
